[Cz-L] games

I used to play "telephone" as a child in the Bronx in the 50's, played it
with my own kids and children I taught in Massachusetts, have even played it
around a campfire with a group of adults! We used to say "operator" if we
didn't hear it right, would get a second chance to hear the message.

I wonder where the game originated.
