If Cecina was a way of life , I missed it completely.
We just could not afford weekly outings to the fresh air of nature.
So we had to breath the available air of our neighborhood.
We only went when prescribed by the doctor.
This was the only time I remember : after being in hospital with
diphteria we went to Putna where the famous monastery is.
Stefan the Great is buried there .
While we were there a tribe of gypsies came to Putna.
We were not allowed out of the house after darkness as the
Gypsies were kidnapping children for circus performances.
I did not respect this restriction .
Therefore I cannot deny the allegation that I was exchanged for a
Gypsy
       boy my age.
