[Cz-L] Tittinger's funeral

How memories return when reading the daily mails from the List.
Consul Lutinger was an old and good friend of the Gold family.. I
remember he used to come to visit us in Bukarest, in particular my
grand-mother, always elegant albeit with the clothes he still had from
Czernowitz, always with a walking stick with silver head, and always
very jovial. My mother recalls that a Mrs. Tittinger sometimes came to
visit too, maybeit was the widow,they were a large family.
Dr. Isidor Gold who attended the funeral - Oberlandesgerichtsrat -
(Onkel Iusiniu in the family) was my father's uncle. My father used to
recall with humour how difficult it was for him, an intelligent and
cultured man, to learn the enforced Romanian, which he needed in court
in daily proceedings.
His brother, Moritz Gold was a gynecologist, well-known in town, who
died early of kidney-failure, an incurable disease at the time. My
father never overcame this loss. They are both buried in the Cernowitz
cemetery, the grave is on the left-hand side, immediately by the entrance.
