What an interesting photograph! It looks as if the whole area between the
Rathaus Strasse and the Herrengase, had only one or two small houses.
1880 is the year in which my great-grandparents, on the advice of the
Wiznitzer Rabbi, moved from a small village in Marmoros, to Czernowitz.
