It seems that the ability to remember things from early childhood varies
greatly.=20
I can definitely remember things which happened when I was 3 years and
4 years old and what happened when I was six, seven and eight, I often
remember=20
better than what happened three years ago. I think that we experienced very
exciting=20
events in our childhood, mostly sad and frightening and therefore, we were
alert and=20
watchful all the time. Then, when we left Czernowitz, we moved every few
years and=20
did not feel at home anywhere, which made us think a lot about Czernowitz
and try=20
to remember everything about it.
