Yes, Mimi, I agree with everything you say, but could you write and =
remember a whole story which happened to you at 3, 4, or even later, =
with so many details ???
I have only many, many images, also from Czernowitz at 3 and 4 years =
old, but I could never tell a long story with everything of what =
happened ....... Of course, my family told me also many things, and they =
did tell me plenty of stories which I remember, but these were not my =
own memories.

It seems that the ability to remember things from early childhood varies =

I can definitely remember things which happened when I was 3 years and=20
4 years old and what happened when I was six, seven and eight, I often =

better than what happened three years ago. I think that we experienced =
very exciting=20
events in our childhood, mostly sad and frightening and therefore, we =
were alert and=20
watchful all the time. Then, when we left Czernowitz, we moved every few =
years and=20
did not feel at home anywhere, which made us think a lot about =
Czernowitz and try=20
to remember everything about it.
