Thank you all for all your efforts - translating, caring, keeping the past
alive for those of us who still live. I well remember the regulations issued
and the fears it brought with them. "In the ghetto the Jews are responsible
for the "survival" of their fellow Jews" - see pictures of the Warsaw ghetto
and of Transnistria. The irony of it all, reading these orders now!!!
Edgar, this really IS the most amazing week-end seen alive in every home in
the world. For us, an event which might change the past 30years and this is
the beginning only, the outcome???- Fuld ( I think Leo Fuld) sang a song in
the 40's The few words I remember are "Wi ahin soll ich gein si nischt du
kein platz fir mir"( I think these were the words)
(Where should I go there's no place for me") that he sung soon after WWII
but it will for ever be true except for where we can really fend and defend
ourselves.
