What has Transnistria to do with donors or statistics? Auschwitz-Birkenau-
Teresienstadt these are places famous through published writings, films etc.
therefore it's deep in the public's minds and hearts. Where the Polish Jews
have perished is a, still, visible place - it's there - it's proof!! it's
tangible and most of it's inhabitants WERE Poles, although there were Dutch
(Anne Frank), Russians, Italian, Greeks, Czechs etc. all this is known. Who,
except those who lived in the Bukovina? know about us?? Who cried out "we
were there too !!" in the late 1940s???
I understand that the children, as I wrote, are taken to Auschwitz they can
get a "feel" a "smell" of the incomprehensible horrors!!! What can one show
them in Transnistria except of the stories we tell and exchange here!!! It's
only in Yad v Shem where it is mentioned. Maybe there it should be stressed
more, children should be made aware that what they see is just "the tip of
the ice-berg" and there were other places but none has been photoraphed by
the Germans themselves not Rumanians/Russians/Serbians etc.etc.!!! the whole
of Europe. How much has been publicized?? How much do we know abouut Serbian
Jewery?? I Know about is because I know some Serbians. Only Auschwitz! and
that's a fact. It's not always money only!!!
