To this I say:
  Popovici and many other Jew- savers were not particulary Jew- lovers.
   But they were humanists. They considered Jews as humans and entitled
   to air, sunlight and joy.
     And he cared for historical reputation, he remarked how this chapter
    of history would be written and how his people would fare in history.
     He was a visionary.
       His people came out as black as pitch.
          Until lately they denied any involvement.
