[Cz-L] Do you like Philharmonia Square ?

I left Czernowitz in 1946.
 I was 14 years old then.
 From 1940 to 1946 were the bad years.
  These I remember most for obvious reasons.
    These 5 years will stay forever.
      Of the years before 1940 , the good years, I remember little.
   Memory snapshots of events - significant to a little boy.
    Summing up - not very flattering memories.
    I dont feel nostalgic about Czernowitz.
    By definition nostalgia is a bittersweet longing for things, persons, or
situations of the past.
     I long for some family members who were dear to me.
       Situations of the past I better forget.
        Some like to depict Czernowitz as a bygone Kultur Metropolis.
     In every corner a poet, a singer a painter could be seen.
      As in Schiller's poems of old Greece.
        How proud we are !
      Unfortunately I missed these - probably I was in the wrong street.
     I was curious to see the town again and in 2006 I did.
      Was I exulted ? impressed ? moved to tears ?
       Neither was Czernowitz very moved by seeing me.
