Hi Hedwig,

Thanks so much for your reply. Unfortunately I don't understand German. My
mother and father do speak German and perhaps I could have them translate
but since I have so much to say about my visit to Czernowitz I must be
somewhat brief about introductions. I loved this story as an example of why
Czernowitz and Czernowitzers are different. Historically it was one of the
few places that Jews were treated as equals, even if for a brief period of
time and I think my American congregation will find that interesting.

Any translation you can give would be appreciated.
