Hi Hardy,
Thanks for the picture, half house is painted, half, Oh my God...So is
looking now a house in the Franzosgasse?? The famous jewish writer Karl Emil
Franzos (1848-19o4), who wrote "Halbasien" (Half-Asia),about Czernowitz
too, "The Jews of Baranov" and the "Pojaz "(Clown), wrote in one of his
books "Jedes Land hat die Juden, die es verdient {Every country has the Jews
it deserves)"...
he will turn in his tomb in Berlin, if he would see the houses in the
street, which had once, his name...
