Cornel, you are so right!
I've also learned my German in Czernowitz (thanks to the blessed Mrs. Singer
of the Meisler Schule) and in Israel I worked as a professional translator
(English/German, occasional French and Spanish) and up to the present date
when my former boss gets an offer in German, he sends it to me by e-mail and
I do my best to make it clear for him and send it back. I always net a bunch
of flowers afterwards.

Incidentally, since the translations are mostly technical (I worked in an
engineering office) I often don't uderstand what exactly I am translating ,
but as long as my boss was happy for 20 years and is still now, I must
conclude that my German is acceptable.
Thanks for your input.
Lucca
