Hardy..you are half right! The main road out of Liberec (ex-Reichenberg)
goes to the German border..and was one of the routes used by the people who
helped Jews to get to Germany and eventually to Palestine at the end of WW2.
But..if you turn right at the border you come to the part of Germany handed
to the Poles so there is a Polish bit there now. C.
