No argumennt with the German language, only with how the term
"Schwarzafrikaner" is (mis-)used.
Other center-left newspapers usually describe suspects by their
nationality. Krone insists on calling them Schwarzafrikaner. The
best example of this was the 1999 death of Marcus Omofuma, a Nigerian
asylum seeker who died in the custody of immigration officials while
he was being deported by plane. The pro-Haider Krone referred to him
consistently as "Schwarzafrikaner". It subsequently painted him as a
drug dealing Schwarzafrikaner (see
http://www.krone-blog.at/index.php?/archives/157-Omofuma-war-ein-Drogendealer.html),
although this was later determined as false.
My point was that Herr Otto was well within the range of acceptable
expression in modern Austria and, not unlike Austrian anti-semites
before WWII (http://www.cultsock.org/index.php?page=propaganda/pol5.html),
too readily blamed the ills of modern American society on its racial
minority.
