Re: [Cz-L] Update to Bukovina resource page for genealogical research

The LDS online catalog is full of surprises - which can only be found on
careful inspection.

Here are some additional updates:

Czernowitz-1930-33 civil registrations - now extended from 4 microfilms to
12 microfilms. Death records are now included (had been only birth and
marriage records). Also included is a section on Jewish marriage extracts

Czernowitz district records previously covered 1901-23. Now these records
cover 1901-1929. See: <http://tinyurl.com/2n2ufs> The "district" refers to
places like Lukawitza, Kuczumare, Molodia, Rewna, Altmamajestie, etc. See:
<http://www.shtetlinks.jewishgen.org/sadgura/ReischToronto.html> for a
more complete listing of places included in the Cz. district.

Czernowitz city records (Jewish) -had previously covered birth, marriage
and death records 1856-1929, including various indices. - Now included are
voter lists (1901, 1907), voter lists (widows) (1908), and member lists
(1896, 1918-1940). There appear to be some additional vital records from
the late 1800s and early 1900s that had been missing from the initial
microfilm publications. See microfilm listings here:
