[Cz-L] Lya Koenig

Lya is a "honorary Czernowitzer", she lived some years in Czernowitz
but was not born there, her husband Hershale was a native.
However, everybody considers her a Czernowitzer since she has spent most
of her life with Czernowitzers who adore her and have
adopted her as "one of ours". She is one of the most loved actresses in
Israel and anybody who has ever wittnessed her on stage
will know what I am talking about.
As to her mother's biography, please send it to me, but if it is in
Hebrew letters I cannot help. However, I'd like to see it and maybe send it
to her anyway, she can read it in all languages.
