I think that Iosif is right. Since Schellhorn did not try to save
the Jews who were deported in 1942, there is no reason to believe
that he tried to save Jews in 1941, unless it was for the sake
of the German war effort. Everything that Schellhorn claims
about his role in saving Jews in 1941 is not corroborated by anyone else
except his secretary.
