initials FB (Fredy Breier):

 My picture on the gang:
 Was taken by Dolfi Zimmerman , my mothers cousin who
returned from Transnitria without family and stayed with us.
  He was a photographer.
    His father Welvel was a tram conductor.

What a marvellous photo. It speaks volumes. Nobody's grinning for the
camera.

Do you remember who took the photo? Not having been there at the time, it is
easy to imagine that people were solely preoccupied with daily survival. Or
maybe the contrary was true? That they needed to record what was happening,
to support the stories that would emerge after the war? Or was it just that
people were carrying on as normal (or what passed for "normal")?
