[Cz-L] CBC Radio Documentary: on the air!

Dear all,

A documentary about my relationship with Czernowitz will be aired on national CBC Radio One, on March 30 (1:00pm, Living Out Loud). Loosely based on the article I had published last year (http://www.jewishindependent.ca/Archives/mar11/archives11mar04-10.html), it features the voices of several list members. The orientation of the piece has changed a little, to match the theme of the show: "Who do you think you are?"

I am deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to this project, and wish I could have used every second of the tape I gathered. The stories I read and heard, and the people I encountered, have given me an entirely new perspective on our history in Europe, and on the education I hope to give my own children (our boys are now 4 and 1).

So I invite you to listen, humbly and a little nervously, to my longest radio projext to date, and hope that it strikes the right kind of chord. I am privileged to enjoy the company of extraordinary people here. The Cz-list is a terrific place to learn the real meaning of "Mensch."
