Dear Ludwig,
On page 3 of "today's" edition of "Der Tag", i. e. 14.03.1934/2012, online available at
http://czernowitzdaily.blogspot.com/
and transcribed at
http://dertag.forenworld.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&p=782#p782
we have got at the bottom of the page three articles, covering sponsorships for the Czernowitz State Museum, the Health Insurance Benefit Society and the Retail Trade Association. Among many familiar names, we discover for the very first time
Samuel Rudel
as a Deputy Member of the Board. A relative? Names, more names, still more names:
Dr. Eusebie Isopescu, Dr. Conrad Merdler, Dr. Oscar Dombrovschi, Dr. M. Scharfstein, Dr. M. Wiesenthal, Dr. N. Rosenblatt, Dr. Leo Schächter, Dr. L. Terner. Dr. Leopold Branowitzer, Dr. Heinrich Herschmann, Dr. Matei Fait, Stadtrat Leo Schnapp, Weigel, Bercovitsi Mendel, Berger Markus, Daver Oskar, Fischbach Adolf, Edelstein Friedrich, Ing. Grünberg Leon, Kahn Salo, Katz Elias, Klein Jakob, Körner Salo, Landmann Filipp, Linker Bernhard, Rauch Samuel, Dr. Sekler Alfred, Schajowicz Moses, Schnapp Leo, Schönhaut Berl, Teitler Juda, Gottesmann Samuel, Rudel Samuel, Sonnenschein Jakob, Stein Isidor, Auerbach Benno, Groß Max, Roll Felix, Harnik Mendel, Kurz Jakob, Smericzinski Bronislav, Laub Simon, Dermer Leon, Schreier Salomon, Kluka Josef, Erdreich Abraham, Goldmark Abraham, Linker Bernhard und zum Kassier Herr Landmann Filipp...
P.S.: From the same edition of "Der Tag" we learn, that the Nazis banned the 1934 movie "The Rise of Catherine the Great" because of the appearance of the Jewish actress Elisabeth Bergner, but at the Media Player of "Der Tag" the film is available in full length for a few more days!
