Dear Sally and Shula,

The great regret of so many of us and particularly genealogists,
is that we didn't ask questions when the elders of the family
were alive. Yes - if only...

The first thing we tell people beginning their genealogical
and family research is to interview the older people first.
Even if they hesitate at first, with prompting most begin to
tell their stories and often, it develops a watershed effect.
