[Cz-L] Military and other records

Hello,=0AI just joined this list.=A0 =0A=0A=0AManea Litman (my grandmother) married Herman Cohn (my grandfather) in Chernovitz in 1934. The=
 Litman family was from Novoselitsa, the Cohns were from Botosani.=0A=0AMan=
ea & Herman Cohn lived in Chernovitz for some time, through the Holocaust p=
eriod, emigrating to Israel and to the United States.=0A(Herman died in 1948, before they left).=0A=0AI'm looking forward to reading information from =
this list and learning more. At the moment, I'm wondering if there's a=
 way to find military records from the 1941 era, when the Soviets conscript=
ed young men. Two of my grandmother's brothers were taken, Yankel and Bor=
a Litman.=A0 I'd really like to know if there's a way to find out what exac=
tly happened to them.=A0 If there's a record of the drafts and the fate of =
the soldiers.=A0 How I'd go about finding that.=0A=0AI'd also like to start=
 looking for information on my great-grandmother, Rivka Litman, who died ar=
ound 1946-7? before Manea, Herman and Charles moved back to Botosani.=0A=0A=
