Hi Jack,
I am very glad that I found your family, but I wish to know if somebody from
the Sibalis family is alive, had the son of Etty children? also the mother
of Marianne, Lotte knew the Trachtenbrpd sisters, because her sister, Fritzi
Bong was a good friend of them.
Best regards
Hedwig

Dear Hedwig ,
It's so nice to find someone that knew my family. Temy was my mother,
the younger sister of Etti. She had had a first husband for a few
months before they went to Tashkent and he was killed. He was a lawyer
and the chess champion of Romania. Etti was a German teacher and was
spared during the war but her husband Mony Sibalis was in a Romanian
camp during this time. After the war he was honored in being a
Jew-architect in charge of rebuilding Ploesti. It took 15 years of
pleading to allow them to join us in NYC.
There son was a brilliant inventor who died early.

Of course my dad Isak and my mom Temy were special people. He a
successful businessman and she a sensitive and intelligent housewife.
I live in Brooklyn with my wife Rita from Belarus. I work in
psychology.

There are a few books published in Israel by Liquornik/Likwornik that I
would like to find including, I believe the one by Moritz, in 1944.

Sincerely
Jack Likwornik
