Croissants (French)= Crescents (English) = Kipferl (German) because of the
shape.
God forbid should the Bukovinians Jews be compared with the Ostjuden!!!
They were so much a part of the German culture (Deutscher Kultur Kreis) that
they even invented a new version of the German language.
 Anyone who claims otherwise is a Paskudniak.
 By the way the majority of the indigenous people of North Bukowina spoke
Ruthenian (which is an Ukrainian dialect).
