May I add that the midwifes name was Ester Chaja Ruff she was mentioned in the birth certificates
of me and some of my siblings, I think she lived in the Steingasse off Stefaniegasse.

About Ruff: In the 1898 Directory there is Dobe Ruff a midwife (Hebamme in German) . My late cousin's - Manfred (Fredy) Wachtel (born 1922) - Birth Certificate is signed by a midwife whose name is Esther Ruff. The Ruff family had a branch in Storozhinetz. One of their descendants - Menachem Ruff - lives in Petach-Tikwa, Israel.
