Hi Marianne and Leo,
First of all I did not know exactly the date when Lotte and Karl were
married, in the ghetto we lived in other quarters, only after, when we came
home, your beloved mother told me about...I miss her very much, our
half-hour telephone/discussings...now with whom I may discuss about our
lives in old times???
Micky is here for a week, I am happy....
About the Sapha Yvrya..I know that Prof.Dr.Ephraim Brenner, my father in
law, wes one of the founders, they had only the 4 classes of
primary school in the morning, like the other private schools Comenius and
Meisler, a state recognised school, the basic language was hebrew. also a
cousin of Lotte was there teacher, the mother of Jochanan (Feldenkreis
method teching) . Many of the pupils went afterwards on the "Morgenroit",
I do not know the yeart the schoiol was shut.In the sovjet periodes the
Jewish school was like the others, only the language was yiddish.
Many regards
Hedwig

Subject: [[Cz-L] Safa Ivria question

We are confused about the Safa Ivria school and would appreciate some
help from List members: was Safa Ivria only an
“after-school” program teaching the Hebrew language and Jewish culture
– or was it a state recognized school that taught a full curriculum?
What grade levels did it include? Many thanks, Leo & Marianne
