Hi Cornel, Don|t be upset about my classification...My father was a lawyer,
so what??middle-class...
In the upper class were the richest, the farm-owner,(Auslaender, Baron
Anhauch, Geiger, Holder) the owner of the factories: Hercules, Trinaco:,
(Trichter, Naphtalison, Deligdisch, Dr.Hain,) apropo Dr.Hain, Mimi wrote
that nobody had a private car,,Dr.Hain from textile-waving industry had one,
the first private car with driver in Czernowitz...the mill-owner Trichter
and, and..I do not remember all the names,( but many of them did not leave
Czernowitz in 1940 and were deported to Siberia...)
not mean that they were all with high education....but they sent their
children to study abroad, Paris, Montpellier, Vienna, the middle-class
families sent their children to Prague, Bruenn, Bologna, Bucarest, much
cheaper than the western universities......
