Dear Yosef,
Although it was hard for me to believe, that you took the "good" A. I. Cuza (1820-1873) for the "bad" A. C. Cuza (1857-1947), thank you so much for your clarification. I'm subscribing unconditionally to your - and Hardy's - statement, that "not mentioning that the ones who kept and forwarded the German culture were the Czernowitzer Jews" is even more than an omission, it's a gross distortion of historical facts.
On the other hand, it's precisely Dr. Markus Winkler and his team, who are vigorously counteracting any falsification of history. Therefore I've updated my prvious posting
by adding an updated version of the conference program, which I got earlier today from Dr. Markus Winkler. An excellent opportunity, to draw your attention to a selection of his books (front covers dispalyed at the original posting):

BTW, the commemoration of the construction of the Jewish Toynbee Hall in November 1913 will be one of the objectives of this conference. In addition, the sessions will partly take place in the Toynbee Hall.
I'm feeling, that the Jewish aspects are in good hands and therefore I'm looking forward to reading more on this subject! Enjoy the posting!
