Regarding Ilya Ehrenburg's visit in Bucharest as far as I remember it was in=
 1946. I than was almost 20 working at the Romania Libera newspaper.=20
Grigore Preoteasa who was chief editor of the paper had a meeting with Ehren=
burg and as he was not sure that his knowledge of French was good enough he t=
ook me to this meeting as I was quite good in Russian. So one afternoon I sa=
t at Cafe Capsa listening to their conversation and intervening sometimes to=
 correct Preoteasa.=20
