[Cz-L] Russian Army

My mother's eldest brother was taken away by force by the Russians when
they retreated in 1941, and was killed somewhere on the front, probably
by the Germans. The family was informed by a neighbour who returned home.
In spite of this, my mother kept hoping for many years, that her brother
would return, she spoke rather hopefully that maybe one day he
would come back, that maybe he had not died.
