Next time in Plain Text --thanks]

I find the JTA article very strange. I personally don't know any one from
Cz who was evacuated willingly or unwillingly to the Russian interior after
the German invasion.

I know about many people (including the members of my immediate family) who
were accused in Zionism and of being wealthy capitalists and were
forcefully deported to Siberia and to North Kazakhstan; I know about many
people who were drafted to the Russian army (like my mother's 2 uncles, one
of them perished in a similar circumstances described by Gabrielle, the
other one served as a head of a military hospital).

I know about many people from Bessarabia and Moldova who managed
(willingly) to escape by catching the last trains to the USSR's Asian
republics and to Siberia.

I lived in Cz till 1974 and there were only a couple of buildings destroyed
during the war (not sure by whom and how).

The information in the JTA article is simply not correct .
