I think Kolomiya was one such town in Galicia. I believe my maternal
grandfather and grandmother, Markus Spiegel and Pessie Stadler Spiegel,
grew up in / around Kolomiya.

Dear List members,I am still searchiing for the birthplace of my
maternal grandfather, who came to Czernowitz as a teenager. I know that
he was brought up on a farm in Galicia. I know that many Jews left the
farms in Galicia, for the opportunities in CZ. Does anyone know from
what communities (villages, towns) in Galicia these Jews emigrated to
CZ?
