Dear Cornell,
this newspaper, on the first page, printed Stalin's order to Marshal
Georgy Zhukov and to First Ukrainian Front troops. Stalin thanks and
congratulates with the liberation of Chernivtsi. It lists the names of
the top commanders and he orders to produce artillery salute in Moscow
in their honor. The fourth page contains the article "On the River
Prut. Liberation of Czernovitsi from the German fascist troops ". The
text of the article refers only to military matters, the civilian
population is not mentioned.
