Mimi , with me it was "Babe lushen" as I was raised by Babe , my mother's
mother.
  She knew only Yiddish and Goyish for commercial transactions.
    But she was the family specialist in raising children.
    Of the 10 babies she had only 3 survived.
       Big specialist !
