Dear Sylvie,

I have been to Mogilev twice (2006 and 2007) and luckily we know the exact location of the grave. It is located in an Ohel (stone structure/mausoleum).

Hi Zeide was called the Rebbe Reb Mendale, he was a chassidic rebbe in Sereth (succeeded his father Reb Schmelke of Sereth).

When he passed away in October of 1941, the people buried him in an existing Ohel of another chassidic rebbe (Rabbi Twersky) who had passed away there in 1911.

After reading everyone's advice, I am thinking that perhaps we should do the following:

Monday - arrive in Bucharest (around 1PM). Settle down in hotel, have lunch an then go on bus tour of city and visit 1 or 2 important sites.

Tuesday - Take 12:50PM flight from Bucharest to Iasi, and drive from Iasi to Campulung. Afterwards cross border and arrive around 10PM in Cz (dinner and check into hotel).

Wednesday - full day tour of Cz.

Thursday - Check out of hotel - Cross border back into Romania. Visit Siret and afterwards head to Iasi airport for 6:15PM flight to Tel Aviv.

The biggest loss for us is not being able to visit the gravesite in Mogilev. That would have been something extra special, but judging from the comments I don't see how it is doable (and while most of my group are younger people, my parents are in the mid 70's).

Any more ideas are welcomed and very much appreciated.

Moshe
