Oleksiy Kaspruk (b.1977) is the new mayor of Chernivtsi. Kaspruk is
the local leader of "Batkivshchyna" party - a pro-European party led
by Yulia Timoshenko, Oleksandr Turchynov and Arseniy Yatsenyuk. His
father, Pavlo Kaspruk was the last Soviet mayor of Chernivtsi
(1985-1991).

Here is the photo from the inauguration ceremony, with portraits of
the former mayors in the background, Kaspruk is wearing the Chain of
office, which is the exact replica of the chain introduced by Felix
Freiherr Brever von Fürth, the Czernowitz Bürgomeister in 1907-1912:
