Dr Beny Bernfeld of the Bernfelds is now an Orthopaedic Surgeon
Head of the Orthopaedic Dept at the Haifa Carmel hospital.
Next month he will do a knee replacement on my wife .
  The Czernowitz connection.

Hi Edgar,,

The big and very elegant library Niedermayer and Bernfeld, located in the
Herrengasse, next to the corner Herrengasse/Kochanovskigasse and opposite
to "Aurora ', my mother in law's library " What happened with them , after
the Sowjet ccupation? all the private shops were , closed, the goods
taken., the whole family Niedermajer was deported to Siberia. If Bernfeld
remained, I believe the same fate...
For other informations about the old time between the two wars, do not
hesitate, please address with confiance on the information office Hedwig
always with pleasure at your sevice
Apropo art, I found in my archive a papercutting and painter women from
Czernowity, Shoshana Neumann..I have also some pictures of her cuttings.
