Czernowitzers...
Just when I thought that surely there can't be any more new
Czernowitz/Bukovina postcards and photos floating around cyberspace, I
found 96 more. So join me in looking at the 18th album of Photos/Cards
harvested from the net.
Before you go off to have a look, I should tell you that this particular
album was made with different software, and has some interesting new
features. The main change that you will see is that you now have the
option of viewing the album as a 'slide show' -- which means no more 100
clicks of the mouse to view 100 photos.
I've tested this album across every operating system, browser and
computer that I could find and it all played fine, except for my smart
phone, where it's a bit quirky. Of course the Ehpes website itself was
never optimized for mobile devices, so perhaps I shouldn't be
surprised. It did work OK on my iPad though. I also note, that there
may be problems with Win XP running early versions of Internet Explorer.
Firefox solves this problem.
Anyway, I would like to hear from anyone that has comments about how
things work for them. Just send your comments, along with a short
description of what you used to view the album ( windows8 laptop, IE10
browser... etc.). I'd be interested also in the results folks get with
their smart phones, and if anyone is using their phone as their primary
web browsing device. What I'm trying to determine is whether to adopt
this album software to make future albums for the Website.
Here's where the Album is:

or
from the Menu on the home page: Click on 'Ehpes Postcard Collection' ->
'Album 18'.
Let's not clutter the list with this, so please send whatever comments
you have to me personally at: admin_at_ehpes.com
Thanks,
jerome
p.s. There are two ways to enter the Album:
1. Click on a Thumbnail; or
2. Select the Slide show.
In #1. you will see a Navigation/Tool bar at the top of the screen.
Running your mouse over the tool items will show descriptions of what
the tool does. Probably most will want the largest display possible, so
click on 'fit to screen'.
In #2. The tool bar is by default hidden during the slide show. You can
bring it up by moving your mouse to the top of the screen,
j.
