My maternal grandmother,Clara( Fuhrman) Meschel immigrated to the US in 1914 from Czernowitz, just at the start of WW1. The 1920 census report shows that her proffession was midwife.

I recently read that there was a Czernowitz Midwifery School where young Jewish women attended.Does anyone know anything about this school and are there records any existing records of students enrolled ?
