Hardy, the acacia tree just shows the change in life, it blooms and then it
wilts, just as we do.
My memory and the smell of Flieder is my nostrils. We have neither
Kastanien Baeume nor White or blue lilac in our country but during our
short term of work in Vienna I had both in my house, and the children, as I
their age, collected chestnuts shiny brown and in autumn when the trees
shed their leaves the beautiful yellow carpet until -like with fresh snow-
men trod on it and all the mud came through. We destroy, don't we??
