thank you, Berti.
In my biography you will not read about Selma as an "Ukrainische Dichterin"=
. Selma was Romanian. But in German she wrote her poems. German was the lan=
guage spoken at home and with friends although her Romanian must have been =
pretty good because she read Romanian novels and translated Discipol Mihnea=
's poem "crepuscul" into German.
Kind regards,
Marion

Betreff: Re: RE: [Cz-L] distinction
Contrary to my usual acceptance, leniency and tolerance for inexactness to =
some publications I find it here a gross mistake to write "die ukrainische =
Dichterin Selma Merbaum".
I don't know how good her Ukrainian was, but she certainly did not write he=
r poems in Ukrainian.
Nor did she live, or grow up, or go to school in a town that at that time w=
as Ukrainian.
And of course Marion please receive my warm congratulations for the wonderf=
ul job done.
It is the Autorenvereinigung that should be a little more precise in its co=
mmuniques.
