Bruce,

I have been extensively on JewishGen. I just received some records I found
via the Bukovina Vital Records Project from the Holocaust Museum. I also
have lots of names from the Hungarian Claims conference, but no idea how
they link up. I know I have cousins that survived in France by getting
false papers from a righteous gentile, but the last time they visited the
US, I was literally a baby.

One thing I know is that after the war, Fritzi (Frida?) Niedermayer, who my
father was told to call Aunt Fritzi, went to Israel and married a Nathan
Rudel in Tel Aviv. My father met her children in the late fifties or early
sixties, and in fact spent a Shabbat with them. There was a big language
barrier though, and when he got back to the US, his mother helped him write
a thank you note in Yiddish, which they had to take to their grandfather to
have him read into Hebrew.

I've hooked my Geni tree up with theirs, but I am not sure if the Mayer who
was the father of Fritzi was also Herman's father, as their dates don't
match mine at all.

And so the puzzle goes on.
