So far most of the nursery rhymes and ditties one heard in Czernowitz,
and sent to this list are the kind which were taught by parents to
their children.
There was another variety, passed secretly from child to child.
Here are the ones I remember:
Eins Zwei Drei, Panner Pickerei,
Panner Picker Oberstinker, Eins Zwei Drei.
and:
Hallo, Hallo, es beist mich ein Floh,
Ich weiss nicht woh,
Ich glaub am Popo!
