Hello Gary and Eric,
My mother, the late Pearl Spiegel Fichman, had a good friend from Czernowitz (or maybe from her days studying in Bucharest) named Dozia. Dozia married Joseph Kerner (Koerner?) and these Kerners lived in New York City for many years, working as owners of a jewellery business. We lived in NYC as well and exchanged visits with them many times when I was growing up, from the late 1950's through the early 70's. Joseph Kerner's mother lived with them until she reached a ripe old age. I don't know her name. They did not have any children. Their shop may have been in New Jersey.
Hoping some of this may be of help. They were sweet people.
Sincerely,
Eytan

Hello again Mr. Mercer,
This is the third request I have made to you. Please see my 2/9/17 and
2/11/17 emails below,.asking
is it possible:
1) that your wife may be related to Fani Korner (Kerner
Karner)? Her siblings were Louis, Sally (Sali), Meyer, Morris (Moshe), Rose
(Raisal), Ruchel (lived in Montevido Uruguay) and Willie (lived in Israel).
2) Would you know how or where I might be able to find my maternal
grandfather's (Kalman Lieb Kriegsmann) Toporwitz birth certificate or copy
thereof?
Could you be so kind as to reply, even if it is just to say sorry, I can't
help you.
Thank you Mr. Mercer.
Gary Rogovin
