Hi! I apologise...I too remember watching a Russian tank coming round =
the corner((before my mother realised I was lying on the balcony on my =
stomach and dragged me inside!) but I got the time right but the date =

Not only do I remember the event it to have happened one week before, =
there is also the announcement in the Russian Army newspaper from the =
31.03.1944 Prikaz Verhovnovo Glavnokomanduishcea tov.Stalina to the =
first Ukrainian Army thanking them for liberating the town. On the =
30.03.44 accordingly there was an artillery salve at 20.00 hours in =
Moskau to celebrate the event.=20
