Alex and all in all Czernowitzers,

There are a number of such guys; they work in cooperation with Angela
Nikolaeva,
the woman in charge of taking care of both the Jewish and the
Ukrainian cemeteries.
She of course has a register of all graves and their locations,
but is not willing to give out any information to visitors to the
cemetery.
The "grave finders" have access to the death registers and give
Angela part
of the payment they receive from "clients" like us.
Alex, yo were very lucky to be charged $15 per grave. I have been
charged
as much as $100 with the pretext that it was a lot of work
to find the location of the grave of my grandfather.

Please, all would-be visitors to the cemetery, do not encourage
corruption!
Instead obtain the location of graves from JewishGen

You will need to contribute to this organization, but is this not
worthwhile?

Happy passover to all,

Mimi
