Thanks for your note. I will try to assemble a family tree and send it to you. You might want to fill in any gaps that you can. As I look through various lists, the name Kula/Kulla/Kullo is rather strange. To me it suggests one large family - everyone with the name is related. Kula - as I wrote before - is a common Turkish name, and it would be quite plausible that the Kulas of Bukovina are Turkish. My mother and her sister and brother had semetic complexions (my mother's mother was descended from Russian Jews, I am told, and she had the palest, whitest complexion, so who knows how dark her (my mother's) father would have been.

You didn't answer my question about Irene Fishler, but she's getting this too.

Keep me posted,

Best regards,

Bob

Dear Robert
I am sure we connect - It started with two Kula brothers in Raranczea and another one in Korowia . The connection between us must be very remote . I am sure it must be from before 1850 . The names of Josef Kula my grandfather , born 1878 parents were Abraham and Reisel Kula , my grandmother Dora's parents were Hersh ( Hirsh ) and Henni Kula - Abraham ( Avrum ) and Hirsch were brothers . All the family members after that are known to me and I do not have a Max Kula .
The Fischler familie ( Colombo Fischler and Clara Kula ) came to the USA around 1920 , they lived in Florida . They had a son Max Fishler . They are the only one from my family which I can not locate .
There were more Kula's in Israel who were very remote relatives - they all knew of each other . Only after I came to the USA , I lost contact .
Josefine
