My maternal great grandfather, Israel Gronich moved from Czernowitz to Vienna in World War I, allegedly to supervise safe keeping of the Sadagura Rabbi’s possessions
My paternal grandfather’s family traveled there from Brezhany at the same time.
My father’s parents were married in Vienna and moved back to Czernowitz with my maternal grandmother in 1929.
