Per Cora Schwartz last September...

Maybe you know this but if not: Regarding travel to CZ. I just got a round-trip ticket from New York all the way to Chernowitz with a three hour stopover in Kiev for $601. (Going from 10/13 til end of month-research project) Talking to the Ukrainian Airlines representatives on the phone has been so pleasant: they are now efficient and working 24 hours a day 7 days a week and have a viable user-friendly website. I am still in shock: like another world! If you've used them in the past you know what I mean. Also it looks like Chernowitz airport will be open all winter. And, Airbnb is thriving there. Come visit me!

I'm planning a trip which would have me in Munich during the latter part of
May. I'm working on whether it's reasonable to travel to Chernivtsi - I'd
only be able to spend two or three days there. As far as I can tell, the
only way to get there is via Kiev on the Ukrainian airline. I'd appreciate
any advice about travel arrangements, in particular whether three days is
enough time, given the travel times involved, and any experience with
regard to travel and accommodations once there.

My parents were both from Czernowitz, left for the US in 1920 and 1921,
lived in the Hudson Valley of New York the rest of their lives.

Thanks for any and all advice and comments.
